Koexistenz is Claudio Attonito's first record based on the use of Field Recording, sound synthesis and the resynthesis of the acquired sound objects. The recordings were made using a Handy Recorder, contact microphones (DIY) and Shootgun microphones, made in some well-known European locations such as: Sagrada Familia (Barcelona), Basilica Notre Dame (Nice), London Bridge (London) and in general areas in some cities: Drensteinfurt, Heidelberg, Rome, Florence, Ancona, Naples, Salerno, London.
There is a strong coexistence (Koexistenz) between synthesis and field recording, between digital and analog, between processing and nature.
The concept of coexistence is what moves compositional thinking throughout the work. Coexistence of day and night in a single instant, coexistence of different people who have never come into contact with each other, of completely different contexts and of sound landscapes far away from each other, between Analog and Digital, coexistence between Life and Death.
Koexistenz as in German, the language through which the concept is strengthened through the sound of the word

Koexistenz è primo lavoro discografico di Claudio Attonito si basa sull’utilizzo di Field Recording, sintesi sonora e della risintesi degli oggetti sonori acquisiti. Le registrazioni sono state eseguite tramite un Handy Recorder, microfoni a contatto (DIY) e microfoni Shootgun, effettuate in alcuni noti luoghi europei come: Sagrada Familia (Barcellona), Basilica Notre Dame (Nizza), London Bridge (Londra) e in zone generali di alcune città:
Drensteinfurt, Heidelberg, Roma, Firenze, Ancona, Napoli, Salerno, Londra.
È presente una forte coesistenza (Koexistenz) tra sintesi e field recording, tra digitale e analogico, tra elaborazione e natura.
Il concetto di coesistenza è ciò che muove il pensiero compositivo in tutto il lavoro. Coesistenza del giorno e della notte in un solo istante, coesistenza di persone differenti mai entrate in contatto fra loro, di contesti completamente differenti e di paesaggi sonori luoghi lontanissimi tra loro, tra Analogico e Digitale, coesistenza tra la Vita e Morte. Koexistenz come in tedesco, la lingua tramite cui si rafforza il concetto attraverso il suono della parola.
